a bit about me...
rock n roll grit meets funk groove chic wearing bell bottoms and a serious attitude. that sums me up! i was nicknamed 'dirty jenny' for my aggressive lead guitar style, intense live energy, wah wah work, and edgy, commanding guitar tone. whether on stage or in the studio, my talent and passion always rise to the occasion.
my professional resume working for national artists is as eclectic as it is diverse: from legends michael jackson & funk pioneer george clinton/p-funk to grateful dead/garcia alum merl saunders, to the acapella grammy winning sweet honey in the rock, i have been blessed with many amazing musical experiences in my career.
i was born & raised in connecticut. i honed my craft throughout new england, upstate ny, austin, tx, & the mean streets of los angeles, where i currently reside.
remember major labels? my former band, big sister, was signed to capricorn/universal records and released our major label debut, "So Hi How Are You", in july of 2000. we received a 3 1/2 star review in rolling stone magazine for it…an amazing feat for the time. i am forever proud of this album, both my songwriting and guitar playing.
my aptly named funk/rock jam band, "The Dirty Bunch", focuses on my original vocal material and high energy live shows. this is where i feel most at home, groovin’ hard live playing my original songs > download links to my 3 independent ep releases are above + icons to my youtube & soundcloud pages for more videos and music.
my second home is in the studio creating. thanks to modern technology, the sound better platform & landr network have given me the opportunity to expand my session work directly from home. i have been blessed to work with amazingly talented musicians from all around the world using this service. you can hire me securely at the link/badge icon above and read some client reviews.
in july 2022, i had the honor of creating a personal set of guitar loops based on my playing style for LANDR's 'CHROMATIC' series, called FUNK ROCK EXP. you can purchase the set here: https://www.landr.com/chromatic

i am actually right handed but play guitar and bass left handed strung either way. i often write and record on right handed instruments. my main guitars are custom built mustangs, which i favor due to their 24" scale necks, smaller bodies, and raw tones. sometimes i play nice with telecasters, too...i'm also a lifelong enthusiastic instructor, having taught guitar/bass/ukulele privately for years, as well as at The National Guitar Workshop, Austin's GIRL GUITAR & lone star school of music, + Santa Barbara's Girls Rock Academy.
eric curtis' stunning, "FALLEN SUPERHEROES", features lil ol me in a chapter of wild, futuristic photos. i am alongside my late, beloved american bulldog as the character 'spiral girl'. click the title link to purchase the book on amazon.
